95.7 HeartFM Community Radio Station - Poatina Village is home to one studio of the
Northern Midlands' own communinity radio station. The Longford studio is located at Wellington St.
The Station enjoys an easy listening format, with a mixed variety of the best hits from the 70's
through to today. Steve Bell takes the chair most mornings from 9am, and David Bunt brings a daily lunchbox of country classics. For those young at heart,
Biz and the Captain Midnight crew take listeners from 9pm through until midnight with CD reviews
and a little more upbeat music. Weather and news updates can be heard on the hour.
The Station has experienced a number of difficulties with its transmitter and satellite connections

Poatina was purchased by Fusion Australia in 1995. An Aboriginal word meaning “shelter” or “cave”, Poatina
provides a unique opportunity to care for homeless and unemployed young people in a supportive atmosphere
